As part of Hunger Awareness Week June 2-10, Harvesters is issuing a challenge to the community to live on a Food Stamp budget for just one week. You may know what it's like to have hunger pangs, but do you really know about the physical, emotional and social difficulties of poverty, food insecurity and hunger? Register today for the Food Stamp Challenge and find out!

During Hunger Awareness Week June 2-10, Harvesters is asking participants in the Food Stamp Challenge to see if they can make ends meet on a Food Stamp budget. You will buy your groceries using the maximum Food Stamp benefit for your household size. For a household of one, that’s $38.75 for the week—$5.54 per day or $1.85 per meal.
