Bringing The ONE Campaign to the Faith Community

When I think about all of the issues that we have been talking about, what sticks out in my mind is that the ONE Campaign is non-partisan. Indeed, Bono talks about being able to reach across the aisle on many of these issues. I think it is vitally important to make this a major issue in America's faith communities.

In that interest, I think it would be awesome to have a big event to which we could invite KC's faith community. Here are some questions that are vital to putting on a good event:

1) When should we have it? We will need a fair amount of time so I was thinking maybe November?
2) Who should we invite? Should we have different nights for different denominations or invite all to a single night?
3) Where should it be held?
4) How do we get good attendence? This might be the most difficult question. We can use our personal contacts to get some people, but we will need some sort of method to get people with whom we don't have a personal connection.
5) Should we have a guest speaker? What kind of guest speaker should we have?
6) How long should the presentation be?
7) Any other questions or comments?

I would like to get a lot of imput before I begin to plan so please, be open and honest with your comments.
