Event-based Calendar for the Fall
Hello KC ONE Campaigners:
This is a friendly disclaimer from your volunteer coordinator here in KC--this Fall, we will not be having regular volunteer meetings nor sending out regular emails. But we will be keeping our eyes peeled for opportunities to attend events where we can spread the word about the ONE Campaign. So, stay tuned for that and let us know if you have any ideas!

Hi Maureen: Carol Welch of The Millenium Campaign is promoting
the "Stand Up Against Poverty, Stand Up for The Millenium Development Goals" in September-October. (For the period between White Band Day on Sept. 15 and International Day for Poverty Eradication on Oct. 17).
We're thinking of doing something with this here in Albuquerque, perhaps even tying it to the local World Food Day Commemoration on Oct. 16.

(And by the way, if you're looking for a good speaker, Carol Welch is willing to come to any community to speak about the Millenium Development Goals. She does not charge a speaking fee, but asks that her hosts cover air fare, lodging & food costs).
