Bread for the World Kick-off & Upcoming Events

Next Wednesday, May 31 at 7pm, join us for the KC ONE/Bread for the World Summer Kick-Off! www.bread.org
Elise Young, Bread for the World Regional Coordinator, will be here from Washington DC to lead this effort and also will visit with Senator Brownback's office in Overland Park concerning how we might assist him and the nation in bringing help to poverty stricken parts of the world.
Attending this meeting is a great way to get connected locally, as well as to learn the basics of the ONE Campaign.
See you Wednesday at the Social Hall of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 12800 W. 75th Street, Shawnee, KS at 7pm.

Also, a huge thanks to all who helped out or attended the Troost Fest last Sunday! It was a perfect day and we collected almost 150 signatures on the ONE Declaration.
Finally, if you missed our NBC News Watch Party on Tuesday night where we watched coverage of Bono's efforts in Ghana, you can watch pieces of Brian William's report here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12958852/
